The Conflict in Oaxaca
Neighborhood women try to hold back federal police. On November 2nd, Mexico's Day of the Dead, the PFP (Federal Police) attempt to enter University City which houses Radio Universidad, the only remaining means of communication for the APPO. Under the threat of silencing the movement’s radio, thousands of Oaxacans went into the streets to confront the PFP. After hours of street battle, the Federal Police vacated the campus.
